The 4th oldest covered bridge in Vermont, the Brown’s River bridge was by-passed in the 1960’s by a new road and fell into disrepair. Over the next few decades, various attempts to repair the bridge failed and eventually it was moved onto town land and rehabilitated and returned to it’s original site but still remains traffic free.
