This bridge spanning the Black River, used to sit a few miles away over Lords Creek until the abutments were washed away in fast waters after a storm in 1958. The bridge, one of only three Paddleford trussed bridges in Vermont, is now on a private farm, has fell into disrepair, is in a very sorry state and in a desperate need of attention – but in private hands, who is going to cover the costs?
