Steve Hadeka has always had a thing for working with wood and, in 2012, he built his first midcentury modern birdhouse and started his business, Pleasant Ranch. A few years later, Steve began selling his wooden creations at the BCA Artist Market: cutting boards, plant holders, bottle openers shaped like Vermont and, of course, birdhouses. In 2018, Steve opened a shop on Winooski’s Canal Street. We visited him there to talk birdhouses, drumming, spoons and art.
