During the Summer of 2024, a year after devastating floods affected the local area, a team of volunteers worked with students from Dartmouth College, in partnership with the Town of Cavendish to survey and evaluate all of the culverts in Town. This was done to support the Town in improving flood resiliency efforts while raising awareness in the community about protecting and maintaining culverts. Culvert Crawlers is a collaboration among Dartmouth College students, the Town, and volunteers from Black River Action Team, Black River Resources, and Cavendish Connects. “Don’t pitch in the ditch!”
