From the Office of Governor Scott: Governor Phil Scott will host fellow New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers, in partnership with the Greater Burlington Industrial Corporation in Chittenden County on Sunday, August 9 through Monday, August 10. This convening will bring together governors, premiers, senior officials, and regional businesses and partners to discuss issues impacting the region. Conference sessions and panels will also focus on strengthening regional innovation and advanced manufacturing, infrastructure and regional energy resilience, economic competitiveness, trade and cross border cooperation, as well as a fireside chat between Governor Scott and General CQ Brown, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. While sessions are closed to press to facilitate candid discussions among governors, premiers, and others, credentialed members of the media are invited to attend the 2:00 p.m. press conference on Monday, August 10, which will include remarks from each present head of delegation as well as an opportunity for press to ask questions.
