We lost a member of our Board of Directors last week. Don Richardson of Mount Holly, who served as Vice President, passed away. Not only was he involved with our organization but also with many others. He gave back through his volunteerism, and his passing leaves a void in the community.
Prior to the pandemic, Don began to organize recordings of his square dancing group for TV, in collaboration with the Black River Academy Museum. Unfortunately, as with nearly everything, that was put on hold over the last 15 months. Also, Don was profesionally involved with energy efficiency and weatherization, and as part of his role on our Board, was serving as a liaison with Efficiency Vermont, so that we could get consultation as we prepare for the next phase of renovations in our facility. In Don's honor, we will see to it that both of these are brought to fruition - square dancing on TV and maximizing our weatherization potential.
He will be missed.
