The pre-K through 2nd grade classes at Reading Elementary School are paid a visit by Lisa Hamm-Greenawalt, who talks with them about her upcoming children's book, "The Loon and the Eagle". The book was inspired by Lisa's time spent paddling on the lake and observing wildlife. The class sings a song, talks with Lisa about her book, and even helps out with illustrations. Lisa also plays and sings a song for them.
Reading Elementary School values "Art, Nature and Conservation" inquiry in its curriculum, the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, and love of the arts.
